The circular resource centre Sirkulær Ressurssentral is a pilot innovation project in FutureBuilt. The project aims to make it easier both to buy and sell used construction materials for the increasing number of circular building projects.
Project description
The resource centre is housed in a tent-like building in the Økern district. The tent has around 4,500 square metres of floor space and consists of storage facilities, offices, workshops, and seminar and meeting rooms.
The resource centre will develop and stimulate an ever-expanding market, support public and private actors, and facilitate the circular use of materials in environmentally aware pilot projects. The centre offers storage space, sales assistance, and (in the long run) material testing and treating facilities to actors that intend to re use their materials.
The centre also aims to raise awareness of circular material management and will collaborate with the construction sector and with universities, university colleges, and other research communities to both develop and disseminate such techniques. As of today, the Circular Resource Centre is a collaboration between Resirqel, Pådriv, and Statsbygg.
